In this series, the locations span the city and the country. Within the blur of scenery as one travels from place to place, there are pockets of stillness. I found the quite places and focused on what I deemed as insignificant peripheries or "filler imagery". I captured the sidelined details of our environment which go nearly unnoticed, and are almost always forgotten. Power lines, junk shops, and abandoned equipment are the endless mile markers towards the anticipated destinations at the horizon line. These images are an exploration of the interaction between the viewer’s subconscious memory of what lies between visual destinations and how that expectation draws forth artistic significance from the ghost of a moment.
